Discipline is a part of God's plan in our lives. Progress and growth in the Kingdom is rewarded by pruning and discipline. (John 15) Pruning and discipline does not come out of bad circumstances, it is His voice. His voice brings healing and wholeness. The purpose of His discipline is to bring us into His holiness.
Proverbs 4:23 says Keep thy heart with all diligence; For out of it are the issues of life; The heart is the foundation of all our virtue and values, the heart dictates to our mind who we are. The heart sets the boundaries of what our mind can think and dream. These boundaries are created from our core values, integrity, purity, holiness, etc. The righteousness of Christ in us, is the boundary are mind's should have.
Cindy Jacobs shares a word on holiness. There is a new holiness movement coming that will be based on a love relationship with Jesus. God is going to marry righteousness and justice. Righteousness without justice is legalism and Justice without righteousness is un-sanctified mercy.
To heal the soul of this nation, we need a counter cultural movement to move away from sin.
