Beauty Of Tension

Eric Johnson

March 18, 2011

The tension in Scripture is an invitation to receive revelation. This causes Christians to seek relationship with God instead of having a relationship based on rules. Relationship is the foundation of how to comprehend revelation and relieve tension.
The greatest revelations come over time and with process. We need to value our inheritance in the same measure as those who gave their lives to give it.

Bill Johnson

May 29, 2011

When looking into the life of King Saul, it is revealed how the fear of man poisons perspective. If our identity is focused on externals than it is centered in insecurity. God wants us to become a rock that doesn't move, that is unaffected by the praise or mocking of others. How do we become unaffected by other's opinions? A fear of God silences all other fears, it does not drive us from Him, but to Him.

Stewards Of Revival

Bill Johnson

October 24, 2010

If we honor those that go before us, even those that ended poorly, we will have access to their anointing. We honor them because in honoring we get to draw upon what they bring to the table. If honor a prophet in name of prophet you receive a prophet's reward.
If we don't remember our history, an area of prior strength later becomes a strong-hold where assaults are launched to mock the move of God.
First and foremost, we must honor the Holy Spirit. God lit the fire on the altar, but a priest was responsible to keep it burning. Every revival began because of God, but every revival ended because of man. Fire always falls on sacrifice and stops falling when there is nothing on the altar.

Burn The Towel

Bill Johnson

October 11, 2009

Many people's trust is in Jesus who is coming back. Other people's hope is in the Holy Spirit who has come. Its hard to have the fruit the early church had, when we value a book they didn't have OVER the Holy Spirit they did have. It doesn't de-value the New Testament, but increases the dependency and focus on the Holy Spirit who was able actualize a generation to realize heaven on earth.
Some things only taken through the violence of faith. The violent take it by force. Some things can only be received as a child, in rest. We are called into the life-style to confront realms that are absolutely impossible. It won't work every time. We must start with a conviction of the goodness of God.
