Bob Jones prophesied a billion-soul harvest, which requires the church learning to father a generation. There is a massive need within the church for fathers, mothers, and leaders who actively engage with the fatherless. It was not only Esther who stood before a king, but Mordecai as well. It is the entwining of parents and children that save nations. We are called to leave fruit that remains, the same way Jesus did when He left His legacy with 12 men.
How do you become a good father? You become a good son. Jesus served His Father's Vision by "only doing what He saw His Father doing. The kingdom is built on the structure of family. Family serves one another, giving themselves for the other.
The church is in need of fathers. To find a spiritual father you must first find yourself. If you have not learned to be a son than every father will disappoint you. You will learn how to be a son by grabbing ahold of your identity in Christ. Jesus was a great son. Jesus broke down the dividing walls that separate us from our destiny, identity, & fathers and mothers.
Using the great commission as a foundation, Kris explains how we are to become "fathers" to nations. We are to create Kingdom ecosystems. Kris ponders what it would be like to have a Kingdom environment and ecosystem in cities, regions, and nations. After healing the sick and raising the dead, what would it look like if the Kingdom manifested?
Because we have been made in the image of a Triune God, we were created to mirror the relationship between Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Since the fall of man, God has been maneuvering history to restore sonship and bring about a reunion between mankind and Father God. He desires to bring us into a simple trust in His goodness and love, which leads us into our true identity as sons and daughters.
God wants to reveal Himself to us as Daddy. He wants us to relate to Him as a son. The word father is used 613 times in the Old Testament and only 4 times in reference to God. The word father is used 311 times in the New Testament and 249 times it is in reference to God. Never once in the Old Testament to God as our father. Jesus gave us permission to become a son to the Father who is the creator.
