Is Your House Haunte…
Kris Vallotton
May 10, 2009
Kris shares how a curse on his family line lead to a breakdown when he was young. However, he had the power to remove that curse from his family line.
Curses attach to us when we give Satan the authority and agree with the lies he tells us. Jesus became a curse for you, therefore curses are not supposed to follow you. You became children of the blessing which lasts for a 100 generations. We need to work from love not for love.

Kris extends his "Is your House Haunted" series, with part 5. The mind needs to be prepared for action, to know that you were born to conquer and destroy the works of the devil. We live with eyes of vision, but we need to be careful about looking at tomorrow with today's grace. If you look at tomorrow's challenges with today's grace, you will always feel overwhelmed.
Kris discusses the Jezebel spirit and the affect it can have on a person's life. He parallels the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19. Four symptoms of a possible Jezebel spirit are: irrational fear, feeling all alone, your problems look bigger than they are, and you forget all of your victories. Elijah needed a friend to bring him perspective.

Kris continues the series "Is Your House Haunted." During times of trial you need the gift of wisdom and discernment in order to discern the whole spirit realm. He discusses the difference between a captive and a prisoner in Isa 61. A captive is someone who is a POW and has believed a lie. A prisoner is someone whom God has sent to prison because of unforgiveness. God doesn't want us to go to hell so He allows the tormentors to be released to give us a glimpse of what hell will look like in order to drive us to forgiveness and back to heaven.

Kris continues a message given on Sunday March 1st, Part 1 the evening service. Kris shares from 2 Cor 10 and the book of Nehemiah. We need to capture every thought that is not of God. Thoughts are tangible in a different realm. There are Godly thoughts and thoughts not of God which can create either a beautiful castle or an evil fortress inside of you.
Kris also shares keys from the book of Nehemiah in the rebuilding of the wall around Jerusalem. Nehemiah takes on the sin of the people as his own in his repentance to the Lord even though he wasn't present when the sins were committed. As Nehemiah is rebuilding the wall, he is attacked in his identity, motives and quality of work by his enemies. However, he perseveres and the wall is finished in a time frame that can only be supernatural.

Kris shares that in our identity in Christ, we are no longer sinners, we are saints. Baptism kills the old nature. If we are crucified with Christ, it is no longer I who live, but He who lives in me. Therefore, we can still sin, but it is no longer our nature to sin. The main point of of Romans is that we are free from sin.
There are still struggles that you may have in life, but it is not the struggle against the old nature. You need to make sure that you are fighting the right enemy and not putting effort in to kill something that is already dead.
