Abraham strengthened his faith through every disappointment by giving glory to God and became known as the Father of Faith. Abraham had faith for a miracle, not his salvation, but his faith in the miracle became his salvation.
Without the miraculous, there is a major missing component of the nature of the Father. The greatest reality of God is as the Father. The revelation of the Father gives us our nature and our identity. You never become jealous of someone if you know who you are.
