In Matthew 5:43-48 Jesus exchanges the Old Covenant for the New, explaining that God “sends rain on the just and unjust”. God’s mercy is for both the righteous and sinners. The church must remember that we are on the other side of the cross. God did not send His Son to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. The bride of Christ must realize that we are living in the Great and Glorious Day of the Lord.
