Matt Stinton

Matt grew up in a home filled with music in a small farming town in southern Wisconsin. He always loved music and started playing the piano at age 5. He began writing music early on and finished his first song when he was only 6. He later taught himself to play guitar in his early teens.

After finishing high school, he enrolled in a small music college in Lakeland, Tennessee, where he studied audio production and engineering. After completing the program, he transferred to a liberal arts school in Springfield, Missouri, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcasting and journalism.

He graduated in 2006 and then took a job at a small church in New London, New Hampshire. There he served and was mentored by the worship leader for several months. After his mentor moved away, Matt took over the worship leaders position and worked there until moving to Redding in 2009.
